Your Chicago Pop Music Examiner recently attended a secret meeting at the Hilton in Downtown Chicago. I wasn’t told what it was about (I assumed a bunch of Lady Gaga fans gathered there to kill me), but had to go due to curiosity.

There were seven people at this meeting and I was basically strip searched so I couldn’t record any information. An audio recording, which took place on April 2, 2010, was played and featured a bunch of people in a room talking about ways to destroy Christina Aguilera’s upcoming “atomic disaster” Bionic.

“I have already emailed Perez Hilton ,” a man with a thick Middle Eastern accent said. Another suggested that they “work the phones,” which sounded like he meant to have people call radio stations and tell them to not play the the album’s first single “Not Myself Tonight.”

“Nobody cares about the phones; it’s all about the blogs!” a frog-like voice that belonged to a guy named Roger revealed. The next part of the tape featured the group playing “Not Myself Tonight” and laughing over it. After the record stopped, insults were made about Christina Aguilera that are too offensive to talk about here.

The guy who led the present meeting at the Hilton was a former record executive who now teaches at Columbia University. He believes the April 2, 2010 meeting was held by Interscope executives. However, the name Lady Gaga wasn’t mentioned once in the recording.

I wish I could post the recording I heard, but can’t (yet). However, all my posts are true and this will be proven so soon enough. Notice, I didn’t say that this was the work of Interscope. However, it is suggested by a lot of people that it is.

Los Angeles (CNN) — Acts signed for October’s tribute concert for Michael Jackson include Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Smokey Robinson, Cee Lo Green and JLS, the promoters told CNN Thursday.

Members of the Jackson family taking the stage October 8 in Cardiff, Wales, include several of Michael Jackson’s brothers, “the next generation of Jacksons,” and 3T, which consists of Tito Jackson’s three sons.

Alternative rock band Alien Ant Farm and British R&B singer Craig David are also on the bill, while other artists will be added in the next few days, according to promoter Global Live Events.
“This announcement is just the beginning, we have many more to announce,” Global Live Events executive Paul Ring said. “This concert will unite various generations and musical genres, reminding everyone of just how amazing a talent Michael was.”
With the “Michael Forever: The Tribute Concert” line-up now known, fans can start “registering their interest for tickets” online at beginning Thursday, the promoter said. A lottery will determine which fans will be invited to purchase tickets, it said.

The concert in the Wales Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, which seats 75,000 people, would be at least four hours long, Global Live Events CEO Chris Hunt said.

Jackson matriarch Katherine Jackson and the promoter are scheduled to discuss the show’s plans in a live broadcast on CNN Monday.

As famine ravages Africa, Grammy Award-winning vocalist Christina Aguilera has a new video geared to helping the fight against world hunger.

It will show her singing a lullaby to a group of children with lyrics that stress the need to care about people who don’t have enough to eat.

The video stems from Aguilera’s work as a global spokeswoman for YUM! Brands Inc., which owns thousands of KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut restaurants worldwide. The company set up the public-service video, scheduled to air on U.S. television beginning in September, as part of its 4-year-old campaign against world hunger.

“After I had my son, Max, I knew I wanted to get involved in causes that help children,” said Aguilera by e-mail about her 3-year-old son. “When I learned how millions of children go to bed hungry, my only response was, ‘What can I do to help?’”

Aguilera, a spokeswoman for YUM Brands’ World Hunger Relief program since 2009, said, “We tried to incorporate a classic lullaby but give it a new twist.” The company declined to provide a title or lyrics for the song.

Aguilera has sold about 50 million albums worldwide and has served as a co-star and coach on NBC’s “The Voice.” Since joining Yum Brands’ efforts, the 30-year-old Staten Island, New York, native has helped the company raise about $50 million. Proceeds go to the United Nations World Food Programme.

She will also appear in KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell ads promoting the hunger-relief campaign. “Christina is an incredible humanitarian,” Jonathan Blum, a YUM Brands senior vice president in Louisville, Kentucky, said by phone. “She’s using her status to create awareness for hunger relief.”

The company is one of the world’s largest restaurant operators, with 38,000 outlets in 110 countries. Its Harvest program has donated more than $500 million of food to the hungry in the U.S.

Since launching its World Hunger Relief initiative in 2007, it has raised about $85 million for the World Food Programme and other relief organizations, Blum said. As part of her ambassadorial work, Aguilera traveled to Haiti last year after the January earthquake to observe hunger- relief efforts firsthand, Blum said.

“In order to effect great change, we need to look at how we can help those in our own communities as well as globally,” Aguilera said. “We take food for granted, but it isn’t a luxury for many people.”
